Bathroom renovation
A bathroom renovation replaces a tired or badly laid-out bathroom with one that works properly: the old suite and finishes come out, the plumbing and walls are put right, and a new bathroom is fitted and finished. We carry out the whole job as one team, from the first survey to the final clean, and every renovation starts with a free, itemised written quote.
Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. Quotes are free and without obligation, and we aim to reply within 24 hours.
People use renovation, refurbishment, remodel and refit to mean much the same thing, but the scope behind the word matters more than the word. A full renovation usually means stripping the room back, moving or renewing pipework, preparing walls and floors, then fitting a new suite and new tiling. A refurbishment can be lighter: new fixtures and finishes on a layout that already works.
If most of the room is sound and only one part is failing, a full renovation may not be the right answer. Replacing a bath with a shower, regrouting and resealing, or swapping a basin can often be done without touching the rest. We will say so at the survey rather than sell a bigger job than the room needs.
The common problems are rarely the parts you can see. A new suite fitted on a floor that flexes, tiles laid over boards that were never prepared, or a shower tray with a poor fall will look fine on day one and fail later. Because the same team plans the work, fits the pipework and lays the tiles, the preparation is not left to chance between trades.
The other common problem is surprises once the old bathroom is out: rotten boards under a leaking toilet, old pipework in poor condition, or walls that are not straight. We look for the warning signs at the survey and explain in the quote how anything found during strip-out will be dealt with, so decisions are made calmly rather than in the middle of the job.
We visit, measure, look at the pipework and talk through how you want the room to work and look.
You receive a free, itemised written quote with no obligation, so you can see what is included before agreeing anything.
The old bathroom comes out, pipework is set where the new layout needs it and walls and floors are prepared.
Tiling goes on, then the suite, shower and fittings are installed and connected.
Everything is tested for leaks and function, sealed, cleaned and explained to you before we leave.
Boilers, heating systems, gas appliances and electrical wiring are handled by the relevant qualified engineer, not by us.
