Bathroom maintenance and repairs

Bathroom maintenance is the small, regular work that stops a sound bathroom turning into a water-damaged one: replacing tired silicone, renewing cracked grout, fixing dripping taps and running toilets, clearing slow wastes and finding small leaks early. We handle all of it as one plumbing and tiling team, so the fix is done properly rather than covered over.

Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. Quotes are free and without obligation, and we aim to reply within 24 hours.

Why small bathroom jobs matter

Most serious bathroom damage starts small. A gap in the sealant along a bath or tray lets a little water behind the tiles every time the shower runs. Nothing shows for months, then a ceiling stain appears downstairs or a floor starts to feel soft underfoot.

Catching those faults early is almost always cheaper than repairing what they cause. A reseal or a new washer is a short visit; replacing rotten boards, a stained ceiling and a tray that has lost its bedding is a much bigger job.

Maintenance jobs we take on

  • Cutting out old silicone and resealing baths, trays and basins
  • Regrouting shower walls and replacing cracked tiles
  • Dripping taps, stiff valves and worn cartridges
  • Running or slow-filling toilets and loose seats
  • Slow draining showers, basins and baths
  • Small leaks under basins, baths and trays
  • Replacing tired fixtures such as shower heads, rails and screens
  • Isolation valves fitted so future repairs are easier

Signs your bathroom needs attention

Black or peeling silicone, grout that crumbles when pressed, tiles that sound hollow when tapped and a tray that flexes underfoot are all early warnings. So is a musty smell that returns however often you clean, which often points to water sitting somewhere it should not.

Inside the room, a toilet that keeps trickling or a tap that will not quite shut off wastes water and wears the parts further. Outside it, look at the ceiling below the bathroom: any fresh stain is worth checking straight away.

How a maintenance visit works

  1. 1

Tell us what you have noticed

Call or email photos. A clear picture of the fault often shows what parts are needed before we arrive.

  2. 2

    Find the cause

We look for where the water or wear is really coming from, not just the symptom you can see.

  3. 3

    Agree the fix

You get a clear price for the repair before work starts, free and without obligation.

  4. 4

    Repair and test

The fault is put right, tested and left clean, and we point out anything else worth keeping an eye on.
