Materials and finishes

Stone resin, acrylic and tiled shower floors

How it performs

Point 1

Stone resin trays are rigid and feel solid, are heavy, and many can be cut to size within manufacturer limits.

Point 2

Acrylic trays are light and warm but need full-support bedding or a properly designed frame.

Questions we get asked

Can trays be cut to fit?

Some stone resin trays can within stated limits; most acrylic trays cannot.

Is a tiled shower floor better?

It gives design freedom and level access, at the cost of more grout to maintain.
